Overview
Running a live production deployment on Stardeck requires a plan that includes the deployed apps entitlement. If your organization’s plan doesn’t include it — for example, after a downgrade or a lapsed subscription — Stardeck will notify you and give you time to resolve the situation before any action is taken. How It Works
1. Warning Email
When we detect that your organization has active deployments but your plan doesn’t include deployed apps, we send a warning email to all organization admins. The email identifies the affected app(s) and provides a 3-day deadline to resolve the issue.2. Grace Period
You have 3 days from the warning to take action. During this period, your apps remain fully online and functional. You can resolve the issue by upgrading to a plan that includes deployed apps.3. Automatic Resolution
If you upgrade to a qualifying plan during the grace period, the warning is automatically resolved — no further action is needed. You do not need to respond to the email.4. Enforcement
If no action is taken after the 3-day grace period, the affected app’s deployment will be taken offline. This means:- The app’s published URL will stop serving traffic
- Your app data, code, and database are fully preserved
- You can republish at any time after upgrading to a qualifying plan
Resolving an Enforcement
If an app has been taken offline due to billing enforcement:- Go to Settings → Billing in your dashboard
- Upgrade to a plan that includes deployed apps
- Republish the affected app from the deployment settings
Common Questions
Will I lose any data?
No. Enforcement only disables the live deployment. Your app files, database, environment variables, and all configuration are preserved. Can I prevent this from happening?
Yes. Stay on a plan that includes deployed apps, and make sure your subscription stays active. What if I receive a warning by mistake?
If you’ve already upgraded, you can safely ignore the warning email — the system automatically detects compliance and cancels the enforcement.Questions about billing enforcement? Contact us at support@stardeck.ai.
